Outreach is a way to promote student wellness
and connect with the University community. With a focus on education, prevention,
and skill-building, CAPS
staff offer presentations and workshops to UCSD students in
a variety of settings (e.g., Residence Life, student organizations, Greek organizations,
and classroom lectures).
Consultation is a way to provide information, expertise, and recommendations
to the University community on issues relevant to the mental health and well-being
of students. CAPS
staff regularly consult with University faculty and staff,
as well as student leaders, groups, and organizations on ways to better the
UCSD environment and experience for students.
CAPS offers numerous outreach presentations across a variety of topics. Recent examples of outreach programs include:
Diversity Skills for Leaders
How to Improve Communication in Important Relationships

-
Conflict Management
-

Managing Long Distance Relationships
-
Insomnia Workshop
Workshops on Body Image and Eating Concerns
Parenting
