Outreach & Consultation
for the UCSD Community
UCSD Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a
variety of outreach and consultation programs that seek to enhance
the living and learning experience of students, faculty, and staff.
Our outreach and consultation programs are designed to promote personal
and community wellness.
The CAPS staff consults regularly with the colleges, Residence Life, athletics, faculty, and multiple academic and student-support departments to provide consultation and outreach programs to meet the mental health needs of students. CAPS staff members also provide programming and consultation in urgent or crisis situations that affect the campus community.
Further, because we recognize that there are needs of diverse cultural and social groups at UCSD, we are committed to fostering a sense of community through our programming, including appreciation of differences among students of various ethnicities, nationalities, religions, and sexual orientation. CAPS offers these services upon request.
Outreach
CAPS Outreach Programs are a service provided by our psychologists and psychology trainees to directly assist students in enhancing their UCSD experience. We offer programs that focus on relevant issues that students may face. Click here for additional information about our Outreach Programs.
Consultation
CAPS Consultation Programs are available to staff, faculty, residence life, and student organizations. We seek to provide information relevant to program planning and implementation, in-service training, and accessing PCS counseling services.
