Body Liberation Week 2025:
October 28–October 31

Join Student Health and Well-Being and partners in exploring what body liberation can mean for you! We hope to offer a space to explore body acceptance, neutrality and liberation. Activities include practicing intuitive eating with our dietitians, mindfulness with our mental health professionals, and crafting affirming messages with our team.

Tuesday, 10/28

Trash your Insecurities
Partnership with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Student Health Services (SHS)
11 a.m.–1 p.m., Library Walk

Get rid of self-doubt by writing it down and throwing it away!

Wednesday, 10/29

Intuitive Eating Workshop
Partnership with Student Health and Well-Being (SHW) and the Eating Disorders Center
11 a.m.–1 p.m., The Zone

Interested in learning more about nourishing your body and reducing food guilt? Intuitive eating is a self-care approach to nutrition that emphasizes listening to your body’s hunger, fullness and satisfaction cues rather than following external diet rules or restrictions.

Self-Compassion Crafting
Partnership with CAPS and the Women’s Center
1–2:30 p.m., Women’s Center

Engage in a mindful bracelet-making activity where you can craft a reminder of your commitment to practicing self-compassion.

Thursday, 10/30

Healing through Grounding
Partnerships with CAPS and CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center
12–2 p.m., Matthews Quad

Students can come walk through stations to practice different grounding techniques and work towards finding safety in their bodies.

Friday, 10/31

Special Edition of Restorative Movement
Partnership with CAPS and Recreation
3–4 p.m., RIMAC room 2

Practice moving in restorative ways that honor your body!
